Nahar publishes RN appeal for nonviolence against sectarian policy by Syrian and Bahraini rulers

RN’s recent call for joint Bahraini – Syrian nonviolent actions against the sectarian policies of the two regimes was published today by An Nahar. A collaborative effort led by Sadek Jalal al-Azm and endorsed by other members of RN’s advisory board, the appeal highlighted the critical case of human rights activist Abdulhadi Al Khawaja noting Bahraini authorities’ obligations under international law and in line with the recommendations of the Bassiouni commission.
